Can you use the same chairs for the ceremony and the reception dinner?  The 190 wooden chairs are for indoor use only, but can be used for a ceremony in the Event Center or Pavilion. Our 50 plastic chairs can be used outdoors. Wedding guests are responsible for setting up & taking down all chairs for ceremonies.
How is the Round Barn Event Center and/or Wedding Tent set up in terms of tables and chairs?  We place the specific number of tables and chairs that you have rented inside the Event Center and/or Wedding Tent. It is the responsibity of the wedding party to arrange the tables and chairs. Table decoration and flower arrangement are left to the wedding party as well.
Do you have a public address system set up at the Round Barn Event Center?   We have a public address system and capability to play cd's, tapes, radio, & mp3. We have two speakers indoors, and two speakers outdoors near the tent platform. Note: the outdoor speakers are not particularly loud.
What is the lighting like in the pavilion? Christmas lights circle the perimeter of the pavilion, and two larger lights are at the top of the pavilion. The walkway to the tent has several lampposts to lead your guests either to the parking lot or to the Inn.
Do you have electricity at the pavilion? Yes, we have two standard 20 amp GFI outlets (four plugs) outside of the pavilion. Four GFI outlets in the outside caterer area. These can be used for the DJ/Band or any catering electronics.
Where are the bathrooms? There are the two bathrooms in the barn and three bathrooms located inside the inn (about 150 yards from the tent/barn site).
Can we drive up to the Event Center?  We have a gravel road up to the barn that you can use to drive up decorations, catering supplies and people that have trouble walking.
Who takes care of garbage and recycling?  We provide one large 96 gallon trash bin for garbage and one 96 gallon recycling bin up at the round barn area. You need to take any extra garbage/recycling beyond those large containers.
Where is a good ceremony location at Sleepy Hollow? There are three areas where we have had outdoor wedding ceremonies at Sleepy Hollow. The first area is Liberty Meadow, which is just over a half mile down Liberty meadow trail. This meadow has a great view of Camel's Hump and is otherwise very scenic. The other two places are near two ponds next to the inn.
Is there an arbor to use at the ceremony? At the moment, no. But you are welcome to bring/rent your own.
What happens if it rains? You should always prepare for rain. The ceremony can be held inside the Round Barn Event Center or the Pavilion.
What does the catering kitchen have in it? The catering kitchen has a big cooler, two gas stoves with ovens, two microwaves, a commercial dishwasher and three sinks.
How do rehearsal dinners work? You can bring in your own caterer or do a BBQ yourselves in the barn or pavilion for $200. If you want to use the Inn it is $200 for the dining room and $400 for both the dining room and kitchen. We provide the dishes/flatware and take care of the garbage and recycling. It must end at 10pm in the Inn.

Is there a camping area at Sleepy Hollow?
Guests may camp at Sleepy Hollow. We do not have formal campsites, but we do have Molly's Meadow and innumerable trails on which to pitch a tent. The camping fee includes use of our bathrooms and locker room showers located in the basement.
How do you handle room assignments, check-in and check-out? We prefer the wedding party to assign rooms, and relay that list to us here at Sleepy Hollow. During check-in (3pm and after on the day you're checking in) we can then assist guests to their rooms. Check out is by 11am.
When is the balance of our payment due at Sleepy Hollow? The balance of your bill is due at check-out time. That would include the remainder of the package fee, extra people in the Inn, extra breakfasts, extra event fee (rehearsal dinner). For weddings we ask that a single person handles check-out and payment.
Does our band/DJ/music have to be in the barn?  Yes. Town ordinances and respect for our neighbors means you will need to have any music played inside the barn.
