Maple Syrup

Entering our second year of sugaring, Sleepy Hollow (Kasie and Eli, Runnin' Saps Mapleworks) started making maple syrup for use in our inn.  We tapped 270 trees in our first year, producing 37 gallons of the sweet stuff.  For 2010 we've increased our taps to 350 and produced 63 gallons of syrup.  Inn guests should sleep well knowing that when you wake up at Sleepy Hollow, your pancakes will be served with our fine Sleepy Hollow maple syrup.  Our syrup is for sale at the inn or by mail order in a variety of quantities.  All syrup for sale below is for 2010 syrup, and is now available for purchase.  Links below to order via Paypal shopping cart (shipping prices can be seen once you click on the link). We are now NOFA certified organic maple syrup producers. What is organic syrup?  It is much more than just no pesticides or no synthetic fertilizers.... The certification looks at all parts of the maple operation, from the correct number of taps per tree, to the type of storage tanks, to forest management and tree health.  Rest assured that a NOFA certified organic maple producer is doing things the right way.
